Colosseum, Roman Forum & Palatine Hill (3hrs)

The Colosseum: symbol of Rome and the largest amphitheater ever built by the ancient Romans for gladiator fights. It was commissioned by the emperor Vespasian at the end of the first century after Christ as a modern stadium.

It could accommodate up to sixty thousand people and was used until the end of the imperial age. After visiting the Colosseum you will enter the largest monumental area of Rome: the Roman Forum.

You will walk on the Sacred Way also called the Triumphal Route where the honorary Arches (Septimius Severus, Titus, Constantine), Temples dedicated to pagan deities (Saturn, Vespasian, Caesar, Castor & Pollux, Vesta) and Basilicas (Maxentius, Iulia, Aemilia) adorned the most important square of ancient Rome.

The Palatine hill and the ruins of the Imperial palace are included in your visit. The tour will end in Piazza Venezia where your guide will show you where you can take a taxi to return to the hotel. The guide will have your skip-the-line tickets but you still have to go through security checks.

You can start the private tour at 8AM or at 2PM.

We purchase the skip-the-line tickets for the Colosseum. The tour guide will have your tickets.
Colosseum tickets to be paid  (only cash) at the end of the tour directly to your guide.
The final voucher/price will NOT include the cost for the Colosseum tickets.
Colosseum is closed on 01May, 25Dec. Please note that for safety reasons the Coliseum can accommodate up to 3.000 people at once. This could lead to delays in access to the site, even for pre-booked visitors.
