Join us on an adventure ranging from volcanic crater lakes at the feet of the Pope's residence, to lush forests, to secret terraces based on the myths of Scottish anthropologist James George Frazer, inspired by the rex Nemorensis, the king of Nemi.

▶ Difficulty Level: Easy/Medium (Distance: ~16 kilometers, Elevation gain: 230m, Includes uneven terrain)

What's included?
• Hiking tour from the parking area of ""Le Fratte Ignoranti"" to the town Nemi (with a scenic view over lake Nemi) and back.
• We will hike along a forest trail with a view on two volcanic lakes
• About 90% of the tour will be hiking, about 10% I will be explaining noteworthy points of interest
• The hiking tour will start and end very close to public transport
What should you bring?
🟢 Obligatory: Hiking boots, 1.5 liters of water, clothing suited for an outdoor hike, backpack, bring your own hiking lunch
🟡 Recommended: Comfortable backpack, raincoat, sunscreen, hat (protection from both sun and rain), trail snacks, tickets for public transport
🟠 Optional: Hiking poles, electrolytes, sunglasses

This guided tour starts just in front of the train station ""Albano Laziale"", in front of the stairway leading up into the town.
Getting there is easy:
From Rome, take the regional train to Albano Laziale (50 min. from Termini Central Station), once you arrive exit on the side of the station building and you'll end up right at the meeting point.
There is also ample parking (paid) available outside for those arriving by car.
